Who Are You?

Some people will answer this question with their occupation, maybe their hobbies, or their marital and parental status. When you strip all those things away and you stand in front of the mirror and stare at yourself who do you see? A friend? A failure? A good person? A cheater? An honest person? A helper? A hugger? The list goes on and on. You, however, are a child of God!

“Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:14-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God made every part of you as you were being formed in the womb. He knew the gifts and the passions he was going to give you before you were even born. God created you to be you. No one else is exactly like you and can take your place. Maybe you don’t know what it is you were created to be. Take some time and sit and resonate on things. Maybe you have always wanted to paint, do a vlog, get into photography but you were always too busy or thought you couldn’t before you even tried. Stop making excuses and just do it. It’s ok to be bad at something. Not everyone is perfect their first go out. It’s scary to take chances and put yourself out there, but you are never going to know if you don’t try.

When you find your gifts and your passions you begin to find a little more of just who you are and who God created you to be. The world needs who you were created to be.
