One of my favorite passages I like to share & use is Colossians 2:6-7. It is a great reminder for me that no matter what comes against we must stay the course. I’ve seen many come & go from their faith over the years of my life & it always saddens me when those never build any ground work to stay rooted in their faith.
The Bible says;
“So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude.”
Colossians 2:6-7 CSB
In times of uncertainty & storms we face it is vital that we stay the course no matter what comes against us. Just as we received Christ Jesus as Lord we are to continue to follow him. That is how you establish strong roots by building a firm foundation.
We build that foundation by stay engaged. Staying engaged in our time with God through prayer, fasting, studying & meditating on His Word. Also by practicing our faith. Doing what is right, what is good, & showing the love of Christ to others. Aswell as surrounding ourselves with the right people in our lives such as a church family.
By being rooted in God & his Word & by putting our faith to work, we will stand firm. We become immovable. We may bend by the strong winds of life but with strong roots nothing will uproot us unless we allow it to. So during this time remember to stay the course & continue to follow Christ Jesus. Build that foundation. Stay connected & engaged with the church. You are not alone in this. We are all in this together as a family!
