According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has between 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. 80% of those thoughts are negative. While 95% of those are repetitive thoughts. That's crazy to think about. It's no wonder we have lots of worry, anxiety, fears, ect...
Philippians 4:8 says Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable - if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy, DWELL ON THESE THINGS.
We have to fix our thoughts. Refocusing on what is honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, anything worthy of praise & excellence. It is so important to daily give God thanks & praise. If you read the text before verse 8 it talks about not to worry about anything but instead pray about everything, tell God what you need, and his peace will guard our hearts and minds. Also going further with verse 4 it says to Rejoice in the LORD always, AGAIN I SAY REJOICE!
Lets get rid of those negative thoughts by rejoicing in him, focusing on what His word says & the promises it declares. Spending time with him in praise, worship, & prayer. Daily we need to refocus our minds on Him. Set a time to meet with God to realign you mind.
